IMG_148-copy“The perfect wedding day” comes in many shapes and sizes. There is the “perfect because we are in love”, “perfect because every detail was flawless”, “perfect because it was just how I imagined it”, and the most common one… “perfect for ever so many reasons I can’t even begin to describe”. …Anna and Isaac’s wedding was one of those. From the very start, Anna was both incredibly organized and incredibly relaxed in her planning. She had that ideal attitude of “you can’t control the world” blended with “all the bases are covered”. It’s an excellent harmony to achieve. I had known from our consult, that they were uniquely romantic. Like… darkness and mystery, stone cathedrals, black and white images, candlelight and quiet… these were things that appealed to them. I can come alive artistically when I know these types of intimate details about my clients. And my fondest hope is to provide each couple with the most accurate artistic representation possible of the unique elements of their love. Challenge accepted.

Word one was “vintage”. Everything was so sweet and old fashioned. I photographed the details while Anna’s sister, Katelyn handled the makeup. The girls had already been to the salon first thing in the morning (and isn’t Anna’s hair gorgeous, by the way?). I love brides with the courage to let long, lovely natural hair just be what it is. While updo’s can be spectacular – for this sweet, romantic event – the half-up, flowing curls were perfect!

They did their first look at John Ball Park in the west valley which has ever so much space for wandering and creating. And it was everything a first look should be!
