September weddings are a dream! I was married in September myself. And, even though I typically give up my anniversary weekend each year to serve another fabulous couple in love, I have never regretted it! I highly recommend being married in September!

This wedding features a blended family closing the deal on what was already a very long term and stable relationship. Thus there is a fun, casual, “everyone here is family” feel as husband and wife (to be) choose to spend the morning getting ready together, sharing the excitement together, and rejoicing with their children standing up beside them. We couldn’t have asked for a prettier day! And Riverside Receptions has meticulous grounds with lush garden hideaways. Add to that the amazing flowers provided by Ambati Florals, and you have the most natural setting for romance!

Berts Bakery and Ambati teamed up to create this stunning cake! The delphiniums are my favorite touch! Riverside Receptions Ambati Flowers 14.jpg
Bryan and Julie own Q-it-Up, an open pit barbeque catering company. Guys! They smoked a whole beef tenderloin for this wedding. AND it was PERFECTLY done! (FYI – I’m super picky about my meats, since my dad is a local beef farmer. I grew up with Black Angus in my back yard!) This was amazing. Q-it-Up also provides the smoked chicken for some of Erbelli’s famous pizzas. If you think the name sounds familar, you might’ve already tasted it! Great work, friends! A barbeque wedding with an onsite grill! Yum! Riverside Receptions Ambati Flowers 15.jpg
But what barbeque is complete without a little live music? Riverside Receptions Ambati Flowers 16.jpg

I’m so happy they chose to do a formal first dance! Being non-traditional, they almost skipped it altogether. But it’s one of my favorite places to play with lights. I love creating mood and depth and romantic starbursts during the first dance! Riverside Receptions Ambati Flowers 20.jpg

Congratulations to Julie, Bryan and the entire family as they celebrate this joy! Thank you for trusting me to capture your awesome day!
