This is in Mattawan, Michigan friends! A scene so perfect it could be right out of Twilight! There’s a dark, romantic woods with a lovely path to follow, a lush meadow that glows in the light of the setting sun framed by a backdrop of natural pine trees, and the delicious smell of lavender fills the air. Shades of Lavender is indeed a real-life lavender farm with actual rows of delicate purple and pink blossoms.
I am in love. Please visit the Shades of Lavendar website! There is a section for photographers if you’d like to rent space, and there is plenty of information on how to spend an afternoon in the sun, drink in the fragrance, and go home with some sweet, handmade, locally sourced products.
Hailey and I spent some time here a few weeks ago photographing this amazing family. These will be favorites of mine for a long time to come! What a gorgeous evening!
